Federico Tramarin received his Master Degree (summa cum laude) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in July 2008, with a thesis titled "Cross-Layer Analysis of Interfering Wireless Sensors Networks", under the supervision of prof. M. Bertocco.

From 2009 to 2011, he carried out his PhD with the Electronic Instrumentation and Measurement research group at the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova, Italy.

At the beginning of 2012 he got his PhD in Information Engineering within the same Department. He was a Post-Doctoral research fellow with Electronic Measurement research group of the same Department, till the end of 2012.

Federico Tramarin is now a Post-Doctoral research fellow with the Institute of Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering of the National Research Council of Italy (IEIIT-CNR) (from January 2013).

His main fields of interest are measurements on wireless networks, real-time communication and distributed measurement systems, with particular focus on performance analysis, measurement and improvement of system reliability. He has been also working on electromagnetic compatibility problems, especially on electromagnetic compatibility issues on printed circuit boards.

He is co-author of several national and international scientific publications. He is member of the IEEE.
