Hu Tingting earned her Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Technology in 2007, from Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications, China. Then, she received her Master Degree in Computer Engineering in 2010, from Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy, with a dissertation about the experimental evaluation of the open-source uClinux operating system for embedded ARM 7 processors.
Since then, she has been a Research Fellow with the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). Currently, she is with the Istituto di Elettronica e di Ingegneria dell'Informazione e delle Telecomunicazioni (IEIIT), Torino, Italy, and is working towards her PhD degree in the field of Information and System Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy.
Since the beginning of her research activity, her primary research interest concerned embedded systems design and implementation, spanning through topics such as real-time operating systems, communication protocols, formal verification of software modules and communication protocols, and embedded systems security, with a special focus on the practical application of these concepts.
On the one hand, this led to the publication of several research papers at the most prominent conferences in the area of factory automation and factory communication systems. On the other hand, Tingting Hu is also an active industrial consultant for the software design of real-time embedded systems, as well as the evaluation and adoption of open-source components in this kind of applications. She regularly works in strict cooperation with leading national industries in the area of industrial ovens and building automation.
Tingting Hu is an IEEE member since 2010 and serves as technical referee for several primary conferences in her research area.
